KNPC 14th Annual Hse Performance Award

Kuwait National Petroleum Company pays a great attention to the health, safety, and environment aspects, the thing reflects a profound commitment to areas that are fundamental to our life, and to various business' sectors, and the oil industry as well. This came in CEO KNPC, Wadha Ahmad Al-Khateeb addressing the audience at the Ahmadi Head Office during KNPC 14th Annual HSE Performance Award Ceremony.

Eng. Wadha praised an HSE outstanding performance, underlined how KNPC values the human element being the pillar of its business and success, and how it falls upon the Company to provide the employees with an appropriate working environment of health and welfare, besides safe effective measures to unleash their optimal performance, maintain their safety and preserve the Company's assets and facilities, as well as the smoothness of operations.

Being a proactive part of Kuwait fabric, KNPC is actively involved in preserving the environment and improving the society, in addition to a persistent strive to maintain, and sustain such role, indications of which can be clearly seen in the Company practices and projects like the recently commissioned 5th Liquefied Gas Train and the Clean Fuels Project.

Through its long experience KNPC always worked to develop its mechanisms, systems, and programs to ensure optimal management of its business and projects, and to keep pace with the accelerated global developments. iSHEMS system comes to incorporate all these HSE elements, and to define guidelines, foundations, and various Company projects, practices, and operations, which in turn go under internal and external audit to ascertain their effectiveness, and measure level of commitment, the thing enables the Company to gain international certifications for quality and reliability. Concluding, Al-Khateeb hoped that the Award would contribute to shade lights on employees’ achievements and initiatives and motivate towards innovative enhancing HSE solutions as the Company is reassessing the Award to develop and maximize its yields.

On his part, DCEO Support Services Abdulaziz Al-Duaij seconded Eng. Wadha and hoped that the event will push towards outputs that help to further protect our oil installments. “Employees family’s participation has been an added value and presented a different yet helpful prospective of our HSE perceptions”. He added.

The Award that was suspended due to COIVD-19 Pandemic, is divided into four categories; employees’ families for their valuable and effective contributions, the personnel, the Company's departments, while the 4th is for the Company sectors and sites assessed for commitment to annual HSE goals.
