KNPC and Coast Guard Collaboration
Enhancing cooperation concerning security protection, sea ports surveillance, and KNPC’s exporting piers, was the major topic during a visit to the Company made by General Department Coast Guard delegation, headed by Manager ADM Talal Al-Munes, and welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer, Wadha Ahmad Al-Khateeb, DCEOs, Departments’ Managers and Team Leaders, where the guests listened to Al-Khateeb reviewing the Company's work and projects besides the important role of Mina Al-Ahmadi and Abdullah Refineries providing Kuwait with fuels. The recently awarded Downstream Project of the Year, 2022, by Oil and Gas Magazine, Middle East, also received the CEO share of praise, as well as the efforts of the Company's national responsible and competent cadres.
Team Leader Process Engineering, Jamila Al Mutairi, gave a presentation on the Company's strategy, vision, and mission, while Senior Eng. Process Safety Management, Nada Alsaleh tackled the Integrated HSE Management System (I-SHEMS), and risk management where the Company's Refineries received an advanced classification, citing a number of global KNPC obtained awards, achievements and certifications.
Touring Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery’s Control Center, MAA DCEO, Shujaa Al-Ajami walked the delegation through the history of the Refinery and its oil flow map, before visiting the CFP new production units at Mina Abdullah Refinery, the Security and Beach Surveillance Centre and the Coast Guard building.
Al-Munes commended the Company's enormous energy role, while outstandingly preserving Kuwaiti environment, iteratingthe Coast Guards full backup to Kuwait’s major Refiner. “The unknown soldiers, KNPC employees are doing a gigantic job being the main carrier of Kuwait economy,” he added, shortly before Al-Khateeb presented to the Admiral the Company’s commemorative shield, with a copy of a reference book of Kuwait environment components, "Mawasem".
